a day with juliaan

Our day starts depending on what time juliaan (our 16 month old son) wakes up. If the weather is warm he wakes up as early as 6am and as late as 11am if the weather is cold. You'll know if he's wide awake if he starts his usual baby-talk mode and puts his feeding bottle in his mom's mouth.

This morning he had cereal for breakfast and sinigang na salmon (salmon cooked in tamarind soup) for lunch. It's one of his favorite filipino dishes. He likes sitting on his mom's lap when he eats, in my case, I take him up our kitchen counter by the window so that he can take a look at cars and peolpe passing by. That keeps him busy and not minding the fact that you're feeding him coz he's so hard to feed.

After eating, we usually hang in the living room where we watch tv. He takes a pause or stops whatever he's doing when he hears and sees filipino commercials, he even raises his hands when he sees the DARNA commercial (Darna is the pinoy version of Wonder Woman). It always brings a smile on everyones face when he does that. Considering the fact Darna never raises her hands when transforming. LOLZ.

He takes about 2 hrs of sleep in his afternoon nap and goes berseck upon waking up. This is always our hardest and toughest part of the day. The solution to his crankiness? PINOY COMMERCIALS....lolz....he forgets he's cranky upon hearing and seeing a pinoy commercial.

At night, he's either asleep before his mom comes back from work or wide awake playing till his mom takes him to our bed till he fall asleep, I then put him inside his crib, his feeding bottle on his side and sleeps the night away.
